What is Phenom?

Phenom is the all-in-one secure collaboration suite. Phenom enhances the electronic teamwork experience and keeps the value the team creates safe and secure.

With Phenom, business colleagues can communicate using all of today’s leading electronic teamwork tools, including:

• Voice-over-IP
• Chat
• E-mail
• File sharing
• Secure web browsing
• Whiteboarding
• Audio conferencing
• Video conferencing

Logging In

Since Phenom keeps your communications secure, you need to enter a name and password every time you use it.

To log in, follow these steps.

1. Start Phenom Secure Client.

The Phenom – User Login dialog appears.

2. Type your user name and password, then click the Sign In button.

Changing your Password

To help keep your Phenom access secure, it is recommended that you change your password both:

• when you first use Phenom

• at regular intervals afterwards

To change your password, follow these steps .

If You Forget Your Password

Today’s knowledge workers access so many password-protected systems that they sometimes forget passwords.

If you reach the Phenom – User Login dialog and realize that you have forgotten your password, click the “Forgot your password?” link.

Phenom sends an email to your regular address to help you regain access to Phenom.

Looking for more information on specific Phenom features? Use the Help menu to access online help and frequently asked questions (FAQ).

Learning Your Way Around

Looking for a quick introduction to specific Phenom features? Go to the Help menu and choose Getting Started, and you can choose guided tours of the features that matter most to you.

What You Can Do in Phenom

Phenom lets you collaborate with your peers on either business or personal projects. Phenom’s wide variety of collaboration options, excellent security and low cost make it a standout tool for anybody who communicates via the Internet.

Feature	What it is	How to start using it
Voice-over-IP	voice communications over a computer network, like the Internet, which is often less expensive than using ordinary phone lines	In the Phenom toolbar, click on the conference icon, then in the conference tab click on the push to talk button.
Chat	real-time communications typed on a computer, also referred to as instant messaging	In the Phenom toolbar, click the Conference icon, then in the Conference window, click the Chat tab.
E-mail	an electronic way of sending messages that people can read later	In the Phenom toolbar, click the Peer Email icon
File sharing	the ability to download files from other people’s computers and share your own files with others	In the Phenom toolbar, click the File Transfer icon
Secure web browsing	viewing Web pages without the annoyance of popups or the worry of malicious code attacking your computer	In the Phenom toolbar, click the Secure Browse icon.
Whiteboarding	drawing on a white board on your computer and having others connected to you able to both see what you draw and add to it	In the Phenom toolbar, click the Conference icon, then in the Conference window, click the WhiteBoard icon.
Audio conferencing	holding a conference call over a network	In the Phenom toolbar, click the Conference icon, then in the Conference window, click the Audio/Video icon.
Video conferencing	holding a video conference call over a network	In the Phenom toolbar, click the Conference icon, then in the Conference window, click the Audio/Video icon.

Should Phenom not behave as you expect it to, review the online help and FAQ available from the Help menu or on the web site of Phenom’s creator, www.SeamlessP2P.net.
